My Favorite Copywriting Acronyms

I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite copywriting acronyms. Enjoy!

A.I.D.A. – Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. It’s the sequence of psychological reactions you want to use when writing copy

K.I.S.S. – No explanation necessary here

T.A.P. – Do I understand my Topic, my Audience, and my Purpose?

F.A.B. – Features, Advantages and Benefits

A.I.S. – Ass In Seat. This is a bit tongue in cheek, but it’s the only way to truly get your writing done and call it a day

  1. I like DIY and USP. Motivating and prioritizing for my own business, I find :) .

  2. For the first acronym, you have “A.I.D.A.”, which I believe to be correct, but when you write them out, you have “Desire” listed after “Action.” Not a biggie, but maybe you want to fix that when you have a chance? (The editor in me is just trying to help!)

  3. John – you’re so right! Thank you for pointing that out and it’s now fixed. Thank goodness for editors in this world! :)
