This retail real estate industry leader wanted to understand how to improve their ranking online for their core keywords. They wanted to increase their market share, and get the visibility they deserved due to their very successful offline grassroots marketing efforts.

The Challenge

They hired us because of our in-house SEO niche of consulting and training so they wouldn’t be dependent on an outside resource for ongoing SEO results. They weren’t happy with the SEO firm they had used historically, who had engaged in spammy linkbuilding.

The Strategy

What we did together:

  • conducted a complete SEO audit to identify weaknesses, points of differentiation, and opportunities for short-term and long-term success: technical, keyword, analytics, on-page, links, and competitive/off-page
  • put together a plan to rank better not only for national core keywords, but also local office and local market expertise and services terms
  • looked at how other online and offline activities could be leveraged and used to boost SEO, and vice versa (they had a very strong PR, media and backlink presence from high-authority sites and industry partners)
  • provided core training on modern SEO fundamentals: social shares and off-page, on-page SEO, analytics, and metrics, reporting, tracking and organization
